May 04: Karachi-based Daily Awami Awaz newspaper’s reporter Ali Sher Rajpar was shot dead in Padidan town in district Naushehro Feroz in Sindh province.

May 17: City-48 TV channel reporter Saleem Sagar was arrested along with three other journalists when they went to Basic Health Unit Sahuwala in Sambrial town in district Sialkot.
20 May: Police raid house of Dawn News TV channel reporter Tahir Naseer harassing him and his family on account of his tweets about increase in crimes in Rawalpindi city.
May 23: Police raided the house of Shahid Sultan staff reporter of Daily Jang and took hostage of the whole family.
May 24: Mansoor Satti, a reporter of 92 News channel, received threats from SHO Naseerabad Police station in Rawalpindi on his report highlighting increase in crime rate in the area.
May 21: Muhammad Javed Siddiqui, correspondent of Nawai-e-Waqt newspaper sustained serious injuries when he went for coverage of a murder, where the rival group started firing in Dera Ghazi Khan district in southern Punjab province.
